IGOGO

IGOGO wants to bring travelers to stay with families in rural, mountain, and island communities. Most hosts are not comfortable with technology. Travelers need to know that a homestay is real and has been checked, and that someone will help them when they are far from home.

The platform serves many roles at once: travelers, hosts, verification staff, development partners, and administrators. Each role needs its own tools, but the data must stay consistent.

We developed a product ecosystem on a shared backend:

• 2 mobile apps and 5 web apps for travelers, hosts, staff, partners, and administrators, all calling the same backend.
• Search and booking: filter by property type and region, view a map, and book and manage trips.
• Hosts register their own storefronts. Verification staff review and approve applications within a set processing time.
• Electronic identity verification (eKYC) and e-signature right in the app.
• Payments by bank transfer and QR code.
• Real-time chat between travelers and hosts.
• AI assistant and itinerary planner: users say where they want to go and for how many days, and the assistant suggests an itinerary and homestays.
• SOS button so travelers can call for help if something goes wrong on the road.

The product is set to launch in 2027 and is currently in development. The apps already run on a shared backend and are being finalized before release.
